Answer
VIA has removed the item "Front Mic" from the newer versions of "VIA HD Audio Driver". Now the item "Microphone" in below screenshot is for the "Rear Mic" as well as the "Front Mic". When you plug the microphone into the jack of front panel, you can adjust it's volume by the option "Microphone". It is the same when you use "rear microphone".
If you plug the microphones into the jacks of front & back panel at the same time, the item "Microphone" will only work for the "Front Mic" under this situation.
