Answer
Buffered memory, has a register/buffers between the RAM modules and the system’s memory controller, is more suited for server need. Unbuffered memory, has a register/buffers into the memory controller design on the motherboard, is suited for personal computers and workstations. This model cannot support buffered memory.
Memory support:
• DDR3 1333/1066/800 DDR3 SDRAM with Dual Channel supported
• Accommodates two unbuffered DIMMs
• 2 x 240-pin DDR3 DIMM sockets support up to 4 GB
