Answer
According to the specification of the Intel 4xx chipset, the motherboard with Intel 4xx chipset don’t support the single-sided 2GB or double-sided 4GB DDR3 memory. Intel has not officially published Memory initialization Reference Code (MRC) for 4xx chipset to support the single-sided 2GB or double-sided 4GB DDR3 memory. So the system may unable to boot or run unstable when installing the single-sided 2GB or double-sided 4GB DDR3 memory. ECS recommends the users to avoid the single-sided 2GB or double-sided 4GB DDR3 memory on 4xx chipset motherboard. ECS also recommends download and update the service BIOS if the users would like to install the single-sided 2GB or double-sided 4GB DDR3 memory.
