ECS Green Competitive Advantage Plan is based on environmental directives and plans from different countries:
Comply with the WEEE Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive with 3R: Reuse, Recycle and Recovery. Adopted since the product development stage. Designed for easy disassembly to conform with return, recovery and recycling standards.

Comply with ROHS EU Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive Only uses products with materials that do not contain lead, cadmium, mercury or halogen. Supplies used in the production process also comply with the ROHS directive. ECS obtained IECQ QC080000 certification in 2007 and implemented a hazardous management system to achieve effective control of hazardous substances. The system uses isolation and labeling to prevent HS and HSF pollution and also uses a tracking system from production to shipping. This minimizes customer harm.

Comply with the EuP (Eco-Design Requirements for Energy Using Products) directive strengthens low-energy product design in the hope of achieving carbon reduction objectives. ECS completed the first complete product lifecycle inventory which emphasized product lifecycle management and green product design and development.

Comply with International Greenhouse Gas Management and Inventory Standards defined by ISO 14064 ECS also promotes various greenhouse gas reduction projects and aims to reduce environmental impact.
